“Ulsan City to Create Safe Outdoor Advertisement Culture” ‘Outdoor Advertisement Safety Check Day Event’ to be Held on Jun. 3 Declaration of Accident Prevention and Removal of Overdue Signboards
At 3:00 PM on Jun. 3, Ulsan announced that it would be holding the ‘Outdoor Advertisement Safety Check Day Event’ jointly with the Ulsan Metropolitan City Outdoor Advertising Association at Hatbit Square. The Safety Check Day Event is held on the 4th of every month to remind the public on the importance of safety in their daily lives, in accordance with the Framework Act On The Management Of Disasters And Safety. The event will be attended by 60 officials from the Ulsan Outdoor Advertising Association as well as public officials from the city, gun (county), and gu (district) offices. The even will include a declaration on the prevention of outdoor advertising that is vulnerable to strong winds and typhoons, as well as the establishment of a public-private response system, and campaign promotion to create a healthy culture of outdoor advertising. Furthermore, unowned advertisements in Sinjeong-dong and the Nam-gu area shall be removed.
An official from Ulsan City stated that “Outdoor advertisements are one of the key factors that determine a city’s appearance, so they must be well-managed,” adding that “we will continue to manage and inspect them (outdoor advertisements) to prevent accidents, while offering safety culture related activities to raise public awareness.” |
