편찮으신 할머니와 살고 있는 파루크는 고철 조각을 모으거나 사소한 범죄들을 저지르며 매일을 보낸다. 어느 날 그는 정치권력을 가진 부유한 집안의 십대 소녀 모나를 만난다. 모나는 견딜 수 없을 정도로 지독한 집에서 뛰쳐나오기를 꿈꾸고, 피난처를 찾는다. 그러다 자신과는 전혀 다른 세상에서 온 파루크에게 마음을 열게 된다.

Faruk who lives with his ill grandmother and spends his days foraging for scrap metal and dabbling in petty crime. One day he meets Mona, a teen from a politically powerful and affluent family. As Mona dreams of escaping the overbearing toxicity of her home life, she seeks refuge and opens herself up to Faruk, a boy from a world entirely different than her own.
