《Code in Narratives》

2025 Ulsan Art Museum Contemporary Art Exhibition

Ulsan Art Museum has aspired to become a future-oriented, convergence-based

institution grounded in 21st-century technology since its opening.

Based on Ulsan’s vision of harmonious coexistence with humanity, technology, and
by this orientation, our collection has focused on works that reflect the aesthetics

of the transitional era of the 21st- century, where human and technology are deeply

intertwined. These works form the core of the Ulsan Art Museum’s collection.

As the proposition that “all art mirrors its era,” our collection encapsulates a

contemporary paradigm in which media technology and art are seamlessly converged.

The exhibition Code in Narratives draws on the collection to trace currents

in contemporary visual art since 2000.

Featuring major artworks from leading institutions in Korea and abroad,

the exhibition reframes our daily life from an unfamiliar perspective,
unveiling the hidden
codes generated by humanity, technology,

and society, by reconfiguring our complex reality through multilayered perspectives.

We invite you to confront the facets of society concealed behind the familiar

and to experience a new sensibility with interpreting today.
