Ulsan Art Museum presents Nam June Paik & Tony Oursler: Video/Sculpture, featuring key works by Nam June Paik, the founder of video art, and Tony Oursler, a leading second-generation video artist.
This exhibition explores how the two artists have contemplated humanity and the world through technology and media.
On view are Paik’s large-scale installation Turtle (1993), composed of 166 television monitors, and Oursler’s Lock 2,4,6, which visualizes human psychology and obsessive thought.
In particular, Turtle will be installed in the museum lobby, offering visitors a rare opportunity to experience the work in its full scale without spatial constraints.
Through the encounter of these two pioneering artists, visitors are invited to rediscover the meaning of media that permeates our everyday lives. |
