This change was carried out to inherit the long history and tradition of the Jejeon village located in Guyu-dong, Buk-gu, and clearly reflect its local character. When the road name address was given in 2004, the path was named “Jaejeon-gil” after deliberation from the Buk-gu address information committee. However, the residents of Jejeon village continuously requested changes in the road name address as the name of the village used across generations is not simply a matter of notation, but an important element that reflects the region’s history and identity. Accordingly, the city held the presentation for residents for their long desire of changing the road name address in Feb. 3, and achieved over 80% in resident agreement through close cooperation with the Buk-gu office and village chiefs. After collecting resident feedback from March 21 to April 4, the names “Jaejeon 1-gil” and “Jaejeon 2-gil” were officially confirmed to be changed to “Jejeon 1-gil” and “Jejeon 2-gil”. This is an excellent example of administration and residents cooperating to recover a region’s historical significance, which the city evaluates it as a key example of active administration. A city official reported that “The road name address change is a meaningful achievement thanks to the joint effort of residents and administration”, and “we will carry out active administration that closely listens to the voices of residents and swiftly reflects them.” The 2025 Ulsan Eagle School and Feeding Grounds Operation Ends in Success Eagle School Marks 13 Sessions with 1,697 Citizens Participating Up to 200 Eagles Visit the Feeding Grounds, with 99 Showing Feeding Activities Accompanied with the Event of Releasing of Rescued Eagles The Ulsan Metropolitan Government and the Green Energy Promotion Citizens Forum announced it ended the operation of “2025 Ulsan Eagle School and Feeding Grounds” for experiencing the endangered species of eagles that visited Ulsan in success.
